So what’s the role all about?
As a Data Analyst, specialising in Reporting, you will be helping achieve and enable objective decision making through the intelligent use of data and analytics, creating both standard and insight driven reports. You will be joining a team who are at the start of an exciting journey of continuously developing the reporting service and looking for new, innovative ideas on a 12 month fixed term contract.  We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and you will have an important part to play in shaping the future of reporting at PA Housing.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team working on key projects including interrogating existing SSRS reports and recommending improvements. You will also work closely with our IT team and wider business teams during the implementation of an integrated CRM system focusing on reporting requirements across a wide range of business areas. The successful candidate will have advanced working knowledge of SQL and be able to demonstrate they are able to extract data, build reports and analyse data using a variety of data sources and techniques.

You won’t just be churning out data and we want you to be visible to our internal customers and build strong relationships. You will need to engage them in discussions about our existing reporting and challenge how this can be improved and whilst always linking back to our corporate objectives and overall external customer satisfaction. 

This role offers blended working, we expect 2/3 days in the office, the rest are able to be done from home. This role can also be based at either our Bede Island office in Leicester, or Case House Office in Walton-On-Thames.
 
 
Some of the key responsibilities will be;

  • Interpret requests to deliver a required outcome
  • Extract the relevant types of data
  • Complete complex levels of data analysis
  • Present findings in a professional, insightful and user friendly way, promoting self-serve where appropriate
  • Apply insight and a continuous improvement mindset to design quality criteria for master data and reporting including the use of automation and robotics solutions
  • Participate in the accurate and timely production of groups KPl's, data and regulatory information requirements
  • Actively participate and contribute forward thinking solutions and initiatives that will drive forward reporting capabilities and best practice in line with data management services across a variety of sectors
  • Act as a champion for data quality to ensure accurate reporting and analysis that can contribute towards business decisions and future processes and working models
  • Identifying risks and working to provide solutions to mitigate risks
  • Overall provide a key resource to the business providing focus on things that matter to our customers and that the customer voice is heard in decisions we make


To be successful in this role, we’d be looking for the following…

  • A team player and be wiling to share your knowledge and experience to promote continuous development within the team
  • Be a people person and be confident in representing the team at meetings and champion our key priorities and vision
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle SQL
  • Experience of creating reports using business tools
  • Experience working as a business analyst or similar roles
  • Knowledge in Power Automate, Data Warehouse/Data Gateways, SQL Server
  • Reporting Services (SSRS), Business Objects, Bl (Power Bl preferable)
  • Educated to Degree standard in ICT or ability to demonstrate suitable experience to meet the requirements
