Make a Real Impact in People’s Lives

We’re on the lookout for a passionate, proactive Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join our dynamic team. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to empower residents, help them navigate financial challenges, and live in a home where they feel safe, secure, and supported.

What’s in it for you….

In addition to the salary, we offer a number of benefits, including:

  • High street discount schemes
  • Health cash plans
  • 26 days’ annual leave, increasing to 29 after three years, with the opportunity to buy more
  • Flexible bank holidays – take them when it suits you
  • Car leasing scheme
  • Hybrid working – offering you the flexibility to thrive in your role. You'll have the opportunity to blend the best of both worlds, spending three to four days per week in the office or visiting residents in their homes as well as being able to work from home, once settled in the role. We also offer an optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be an expert for residents facing financial hardship, welfare reform, or benefit confusion.

  • Maximise income and unlock access to benefits
  • Deliver tailored advice through home visits and local surgeries
  • Guide residents through Universal Credit transitions and appeals
  • Build strong partnerships with local authorities, DWP, and support agencies
  • Help secure grants, hardship funds, and charitable support
  • Spot tenancy risks early and collaborate on solutions
  • Champion digital inclusion and improve access to services
  • Be a steady hand during life’s toughest moments—bereavement, crisis, or financial strain

You’re a natural problem-solver with a heart for service. You’ll thrive if you:

  • Understand welfare reform and benefits systems
  • Can confidently support residents with complex needs
  • Have experience in housing, financial support, or customer-facing roles
  • Communicate with empathy and build trust quickly
  • Are organised, self-driven, and ready to manage your own patch
  • Can flex your schedule—including occasional evenings or weekends
  • Have strong IT skills for accurate record keeping and reporting

If specific qualifications are required, please upload them with your application to demonstrate your eligibility.
